Waze for Cities Partner – Canada

Smarter warnings for emergency vehicles and civilian drivers.

EVA911 is a public-safety platform that uses real-time GPS, routing, and upcoming Waze integration to warn drivers when fire trucks and emergency vehicles are approaching – reducing intersection collisions and helping responders arrive faster.

Status: Prototype in development with planned pilot testing in Ontario.

How EVA911 Works

Connecting emergency vehicles, navigation apps, and civilian drivers to cut seconds off response time and reduce collisions.

1

Emergency vehicle position

Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles share live GPS and route data through EVA911, with planned integration to the Waze Transport SDK for accurate, road-matched positioning.

2

Smart proximity logic

EVA911 calculates which drivers are directly on the route – not just “nearby” – and determines when alerts are actually needed.

3

Driver alerts

Drivers receive clear warnings (through EVA911 and, in future, Waze) to slow down, yield, or clear the lane, improving safety at intersections and chokepoints.

Built for Departments, Cities & Drivers

EVA911 focuses on road safety for everyone involved in an emergency response.

Fire & EMS

Safer, faster responses

Reduce the risk of intersection collisions, especially during code 3 responses. EVA911 helps drivers ahead of the apparatus understand what’s coming and react earlier.

Fewer close calls
Cities & traffic teams

Modern V2V safety layer

EVA911 complements existing pre-emption and traffic systems by adding an in-vehicle warning layer for civilian drivers, using real maps and real routes instead of guesswork.

Works alongside existing tools
Drivers & the public

Clear alerts, less panic

Instead of hearing a siren and wondering where it’s coming from, drivers get timely, directional alerts so they can make safer choices without panic stops.

Easy to understand alerts

Interested in pilots or collaboration?

We’re actively exploring partnerships with fire departments, municipalities, and technology providers.

EVA911 is currently in active development, with a focus on real-world testing in Canadian jurisdictions. If you’re interested in learning more, participating in a pilot, or partnering on integration, please reach out.
